2020 is not getting any easier.
The fallout from the Corona virus is big. The past few months have been a time of uncertainty, isolation, fear and facing parts of ourselves we have managed to ignore. We have collectively been plunged into an existential crisis with very little warning. When things break down, that which has been ignored rushes in.
How are you feeling? How did you handle the day to day emotional ups and downs that came with social distancing, sheltering at home, not working, working from home, uncertainty and routine upset? As a psychotherapist, part of my job is to help you process your feelings, questions and dreams. This crisis will prompt a lot of change in our community. People might divorce, move, quit jobs, get new jobs, change careers, lose their homes or mourn loved ones. Were your relationships strained by the stay at home orders? What memories drifted to the surface?
Would you like to work through the things that came up for you?
Self-knowledge reduces conflict and supports growth.
In a therapeutic relationship we meet weekly to process, sort through and examine our fears, thoughts, feelings and desires. It is confidential, private and a safe place to figure out where we are coming from and where we are going. The framework of the therapeutic experience encourages introspection and self-reflection, necessary components to move through our pain and toward a healthier future. The framework give us structure, consistency and the strength needed do our work. If this sounds like something you would like to do, please contact me today for an intake appointment. I look forward to meeting you.
